FORD COUNTY —Three people who died in a fire Sunday in Dodge City have been identified as Daniel, Ruth and Ismael Marquez, according to an online fundraiser established by Rush Marquez niece.

Just after 9:30a.m. Sunday, the Dodge City Fire Department received a call regarding a structure fire in the area between McArtor Road and Agnes Street, according to a media release from the fire department.
Firefighters found two trailer homes and three vehicles involved in the fire, with one trailer home already fully engulfed in flames.
Crews worked quickly to contain and extinguish the fire, preventing it from spreading further. Three fatalities resulted from the incident. The Dodge City Police Department interviewed family members to gather additional information to help identify those in the fire.
The Kansas State Fire Marshal’s Office is conducting a full investigation on the cause of the fire. They have not released their findings.
