KANSAS CITY—Law enforcement are investigating another homicide in Kansas City.
just after 2a.m. Saturday, officers were dispatched to the 4200 block of College on a shooting call, according to KCPD Captain Jake Becchina.
On arrival officers were directed to a shooting victim later identified as 50-year-old Dante Franklin who was unresponsive on the sidewalk in front of a house there.
Officers rendered aid and called for EMS to the scene. EMS declared Franklin deceased.
Preliminary investigation indicates that the victim had an interaction in front of the residence with one or more suspects that escalated and led to gunfire, which struck the victim. Police released no additional details.
