Security guard found homicide victim in Kansas City parking lot

KANSAS CITY —Law enforcement are investigating another homicide in Kansas City, Missouri.

Just before 7a.m. Thursday, police were dispatched to the 3400 block of Broadway on a medical call with EMS, according to KCPD Captain Jake Becchina.

Caller was security in the area and they saw a person unresponsive in a parking lot behind the address. On arrival officers were led to a parking lot to the west of the address where they located the man unresponsive on the sidewalk with what appeared to be significant unknown injuries.

Officers called for EMS who declared the victim deceased at the scene.

Homicide detectives are investigating, along with crime scene investigators, and representatives from the medical examiners office.

Police don't know when the victim was injured and are working to learn his identity.
