Stolen vehicle investigation led to Kan. woman's arrest

OSAGE COUNTY—Law enforcement are investigating a suspect on multiple allegations after an arrest in Osage County.

Early March 19, deputies were investigating the report of a stolen camper trailer at 12544 S. Topeka Avenue, near Carbondale, according to Osage County Sheriff Chris Wells. During the investigation, a woman was taken into custody on a Shawnee County arrest warrant. She was also in possession of Illegal narcotics, according to Wells.

Deputies transported Melinda J. Stafford, 44, of Topeka to the Osage County Jail Facility on requested charges of  Possession of methamphetamine, Possession of drug paraphernalia and a Shawnee County warrant.
