KANSAS CITY—Law enforcement are investigating another homicide in Kansas City.
Just before 6p.m. Tuesday, police were dispatched to a shooting in the area of 55th and Chestnut Avenue in Kansas City, Missouri, according to Officer Alayna Gonzalez.
When officers arrived, they located a man lying in a grassy area, unresponsive, and suffering from gunshot trauma. The victim was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries. Officers on scene were updated later he was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
Detectives continue working to determine what led up to the shooting. Police have not reported an arrest and did not release the name of the victim.
This incident is being investigated as a homicide at this time and is ongoing.
