It is not a year with presidential candidates, but the Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation dinner at the at Waldorf Astoria in New York City still raised a lot of fun and funds Thursday night.
Former Secretaries of State Mike Pompeo and Antony Blinken delivered lighthearted remarks. They shared their experiences working under different administrations and discussed many topics, including diplomacy, foreign policy, and the 2025 New York City Mayoral race. Pomopeo also discussed his weight loss.

The white-tie dinner raises millions of dollars for Catholic charities and has traditionally offered candidates from both parties the chance to trade lighthearted barbs, poke fun at themselves and pretend to get along.
Pompeo was the nationās top diplomat from 2018 to 2021 in the administration of President Donald Trump. He was the GOP congressman from Wichita from 2011 to 2017.
