GEARY COUNTY — Law enforcement authorities investigating a Monday pedestrian accident in Geary County have identified the victim as James Johnson, Jr., 38, of Milford.
According to police, Johnson was struck by a 2013 Chevrolet while walking on U.S. 77 Highway on the west side of Junction City just after 6a.m. on Monday.
Emergency personnel transported him to Freeman Field where he was airlifted to a trauma center in Topeka for treatment.
He is expected to be released from a hospital in a few days, according to Junction City police.

GEARY COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just after 6a.m. Monday in Geary County.
According to police, the victim was a 38-year old Milford man who was was struck by a 2013 Chevrolet while walking in U.S. 77 Highway on the west side of Junction City. Emergency personnel transported the man to Freeman Field where he was airlifted to a trauma center for treatment.
The name of the victim has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.
