SEDGWICK COUNTY — A Kansas man has been sentenced to prison for a fatal hit-and-run accident in 2020.
On Tuesday, Judge Bruce Brown sentenced Jeffrey Jack to just over 2 and one half years in prison, according to the Sedgwick County District attorney's office.
On November 3, 2020, Kaminsky was crossing the road to his home and was struck by a southbound white pick-up truck on North Parkridge in Wichita, according to Officer Kevin Wheeler. The driver, later identified as Jack did not stop and fled. Police believed alcohol was a factor in the case.
Police later found Jack's damaged truck in a nearby neighborhood and ultimately made an arrest. Earlier this year, he pled guilty to leaving the scene of an accident.
