Police: Kansas man battered during armed robbery

JOHNSON COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating a violent armed robbery and asking for help to locate four suspects.

Just before 2p.m. Monday, police were dispatched to near the 600 Block of South Curtis Street in Olathe for a reported robbery that occurred during a private sale of property, according to Police Sergeant John Moncayo.

The victim stated during the process of the sale, he was robbed at gunpoint and battered by four suspects. A thorough area search was conducted, and no contact was made with the suspects.

The suspects were described as A white male who was possibly in his early twenties, had blonde hair, and was wearing a white t-shirt.  A white male who was wearing a white ski mask, black hoodie, and blue ripped skinny jeans. A white male subject who was wearing a grey hoodie and a fourth male subject, unknown clothing.  

The suspects left the area in an unknown direction of travel in an older model dark passenger vehicle with black rims.
