KANSAS CITY —Police are investigaitng another homicide in Kansas City, Missouri.
Just after 10a.m. Saturday, police were dispatched to the 4200 block of Locust in Kansas City on a reported medical nature unknown, according to KCPD Sergeant Phil DiMartino.
First responders found a victim, later identified as 45-year-old Vernon Meade, unresponsive in a vehicle. KCFD EMS arrived simultaneously and pronounced Meade deceased on scene. Preliminary information revealed he suffered from an apparent gunshot wound.
This is being investigated as a homicide and no one is in custody at this point. Detectives are working to determine what led up to the shooting.
