ATCHISON COUNTY—A toddler was hospitalized after falling into a swimming pool on Wednesday evening.
Shortly after 7p.m., police officers, fire department first responders and EMS responded to a medical emergency in the 1200 block Westridge Drive in the city of Atchison, according to Police Chief Mike Wilson.
A 2-year-old child had fallen into an outdoor swimming pool. She was transported to Amberwell Hospital and later airlifted to Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City.
