
SHAWNEE COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating two suspects on drug charges after a search at a Kansas home.
On Monday, members of the Topeka Police Department Narcotics Unit and the Shawnee County Drug Task Force served a search warrant at a residence in the 1600 Block of SW Harrison in Topeka, according to Lt. Jerry Monasmith.
While conducting the search warrant, the officers located methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.

Officers arrested Erasto Ortega, 64 years of age, and James Funkhouser II, 51 years of age, both from Topeka. They were transported to the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on requested charges for Erasto Ortega Possession of methamphetamine, Possession of marijuana and Possession of drug paraphernalia with the intent of distribution, according to Monasmith.
James Funkhouser II is being held on a Felony Shawnee County warrant.
