ATCHISON COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a suspect on child sex crime allegations.
Just after 4p.m. Sunday, police arrested 19-year-old Leland M. Cash of Atchison, for allegedly promoting obscenity, according to Police Chief Mike Wilson.
Police conducted an investigation on Sunday relating to illicit images that were being sent to a 14 year old girl via a social media platform. Cash was taken into custody at a residence in the 900 block South 4th Street in Atchison. on requested charges of promoting obscenity. Other charges are pending as police continue to investigate, according to Wilson.
