KCPD: 72-year-old among victims found shot in the street

KANSAS CITY —Law enforcemente investigating a double-homicide in Kansas City have identified the two victims as 72-year-old Juah R. Mubarek and 33-year-old Leander D. Wooden, Jr., according to KCPD Captain Jake Becchina.

Just after 11p.m. Tuesday, police were called to the 3400 block of Harrison Street on a sound of shots call. First responders located Mubarek and Wooden, Jr. unresponsive in the street. Officers rendered aid until EMS arrived and took over treatment. EMS transported both victims to the hospital where they were both pronounced deceased.
