KANSAS CITY —One person died in an accident just 1p.m. Tuesday in Kansas City.
A black Honda Motorcycle was southbound on Paseo at 9th Street in Kansas City, Missouri, according to KCPD Sergeant Phil Dimartino. A Metro Bus was traveling westbound on 9th Street. The bus driver failed to stop for the posted stop sign, entered the intersection and struck the motorcycle.
The operator of the motorcycle, who was not wearing a helmet, was ejected off the motorcycle. EMS transported the motorcyclist to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. He was later pronounced deceased by hospital staff. The bus driver, as well as all the passengers on the bus were uninjured in the collision.
This is fatality #4 compared to #2 at this time last year in Kansas City, Missouri.
