MARSHALL COUNTY—One person died in an accident just after 4:30p.m. Monday in Marshall County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a Rogator industrial farm sprayer driven by Ryan S. Friedrichs, 41, Marysville, was southbound on a private drive just south of Harvest Road. The driver failed to stop at a stop sign and yield right of way to a westbound train. The Union Pacific train struck the
Vehicle 1 was traveling Southbound on a private driveway just South of Harvest Road when it failed to stop at a stop sign and yield the right of way to a Westbound train. The train struck Rogator on the drivers side and the driver was ejected.
Friedrichs was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Kinsley Mortuary. EMS transported the train conductors Ricki G Robertson, 60, Fairbury, Nebraska and Ryan C. Banahan, 40, Endicot, Deleware, to the hospital in Marysville.
