Sheriff found evidence of fentanyl use at Kansas home

MONTGOMERY COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a suspect on drug allegations.

Just before 1p.m. April 23, detectives and deputies from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office executed a narcotics search warrant at 633 W. Beech in Independence, Kansas, according to Sheriff Ron Wade.

During the search, authorities took 39-year-old Crystal Blex into custody after discovering evidence of fentanyl use at the location. Upon completion of the search warrant, Blex was transported to the Montgomery County Department of Corrections, where she remains jailed on requested charges of possession of an opiate (fentanyl) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
