JACKSON COUNTY–Law enforcement are investigating two suspects on drug allegations.
Just after 11p.m. January 7, a Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a 1999 Buick Park Avenue, near 150th and Q. Road, according to Sheriff Tim Morse.
The driver, Jade Taylor Mendoza, 24, of Topeka, was arrested on requested charges that include possession of fentanyl, possession of cocaine, possession of a hallucinogenic drug, possession of drug paraphernalia, improper driving on laned roadway, improper turn signal, fail to provide proof of insurance.
The passenger, Joseph Lee Purvis, 43, of Meriden, was arrested on requested charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of a hallucinogenic drug, possession of THC, possession of drug paraphernalia, felony interference with LEO and a Wabaunsee County Warrant for failure to appear.
