CHATTAUQUA COUNTY— A Kansas man died in an accident just before 7a.m. Monday in Chautauqua County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2017 Freightliner semi driven by Richard Wilson, 65, Americus, was southbound on Kansas 99 just south of Trail Road in a one lane construction zone.
The truck traveled off the roadway to left. The driver attempted to overcorrect and then rolled the semi crushing the cab.
Wilson was pronounced dead at the scene was transported Dickens Family Funeral Home. He was properly restrained, according to the KHP.
