JOHNSON COUNTY —Law enforce are alerting drivers to slow down and move over for flashing lights, every single time.
On Monday, while working a crash on Interstate 435, a passing vehicle struck a Trooper’s patrol car, according to a social media report from the KHP.

At the time of the collision, the Trooper was inside his vehicle, parked on the right shoulder with emergency lights on. He sustained only minor injuries and has since been treated and released back to full duty.
This could have ended much worse. Do your part, slow down and move over. Give first responders the space they need to stay safe.
