MCCOOK, Neb.-A Nebraska woman who was convicted of killing her husband was sentenced Monday in Red Willow County District Court.
Lavetta Langdon, 80, McCook was sentenced to eight to ten years in prison after pleading no contest to manslaughter. Prosecutors said Langdon shot and killed her husband Larry, 79.
Langdon cited protection from years of abuse as her motive for the crime. Langdon was given credit for 125 days already served in jail
