RILEY COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating an accidental shooting that sent a man to the hospital in Manhattan.
Just after 11:30a.m. Monday, officers filed a report for discharge of a firearm in the 1900 block of Hunting Avenue, according to the Riley County Police Department activity report.
A 61-year-old shot himself while attempting to clean his firearm. He was transported to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Police released no additional details.
