Kansas felon on parole jailed on new sex, drug crime allegations

RENO COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating a Kansas felon for  alleged sex crimes.

On Wednesday, the Special Operations Division with Hutchinson Police Department arrested 40-year-old Richard A. Young of Hutchinson on requested charges of Indecent Solicitation of a Child to Commit or Submit to an Unlawful Sex Act, Electronic Solicitation of a Child 14-15 YOA, Sexual Exploitation of a Child, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Interference with Law Enforcement; Destruction of Evidence, and Violation of Parole.

Young is being held in the Reno County Correctional Facility in lieu of a $100,000 bond.  He has a previous convictions and was on parole, according to the Kansas Department of Corrections. The KDOC report does not list details on previous convictions.
