SEDGWICK COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating a fatal hit-and-run incident in Wichita.
Just before 1a.m. Sunday, police responded to a call at Kellogg and Tyler. Once on the scene, officers found 41-year-old Cary Lee South, of Wichita, on the eastbound on-ramp to Kellogg from Tyler Road, according to a media release from Wichita Police. He had significant injuries and was pronounced deceased on the scene.
Investigators learned that the victim was crossing Kellogg Drive, near 8400 W. Kellogg, and was struck by an unknown vehicle, which fled from the scene.
