
SHAWNEE COUNTY – The Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) arrested a Topeka man Thursday morning for an alleged child sex offense.
On Thursday, Sept. 11, KBI agents with the Child Victims Unit executed a search warrant at a residence at 3709 SE Truman Ave. in Topeka, according to a media release from the KBI.
Following the search, at around 9 a.m., KBI agents arrested Mark A. Calloway Jr., 27, of Topeka on requested charges of sexual exploitation of a child.
The KBI began investigating after a cyber-tip was submitted to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Following his arrest Calloway was booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections. Additional charges against Calloway are expected. The Topeka Police Department assisted in the arrest.
