JOHNSON COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a gunfight that sent two Kansas teens to the hospital.
Just before 2 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to a shooting in the 8800 block of W. 102 Place in Overland. Park, according to Public Information Officer John Lacy.
First responders contacted a boy in the parking lot with a gun shot wound, a non-life threating injury.
Witnesses advised a light color SUV occupied by three individuals had fled the scene. Minutes later the police found the SUV involved at W.119th near Blue Valley Parkway.
Inside the SUV a boy had also suffered a non-life threatening injury. Both individuals injured were transported to an area hospital. The other occupants inside the SUV were not injured.
Police released no additional details and have not reported an arrest.
