Sheriff IDs Kansas man who died in hunting accident

HARVEY COUNTY — A man is dead after a weekend hunting accident south of Burrton.

The Harvey County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched Saturday at 7:10 a.m. to the 8200 block of South Prairie Lake Road.

Reports indicated three people were hunting in a duck blind when one individual accidentally discharged a shotgun. The gunshot fatally wounded one hunter. No one else was injured.

Aaron Snook, 41, of Goddard, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Sheriff’s Office has concluded its investigation, ruling the death accidental. No foul play was suspected.

HARVEY COUNTY —A man died in a hunting accident on Saturday in Harvey County.

The man was was shot by another person he was hunting with south of Burrton, according to Harvey County spokesman Kyle McCaskey.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The death was ruled accidental, according to McCaskey.  Authorities released no additional details including the name of the victim.
