SEDGWICK COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a fatal accident and have identified the victim as 18-year old Brennan Peshek of Wichita.
At approximately 11 p.m. on Saturday, officers responded to an injury accident at Central and Greenwich in Wichita, according to officer Charley Davidson. Upon arrival, officers located Peshek in critical condition. EMS transported him to an area hospital, where he died.
The investigation revealed that Peshek was driving a 2005 Ford Mustang South on Greenwich and was racing a 2007 silver Pontiac Grand Prix driven by a 19-year-old man, according to Davidson.
The lane Peshek was driving in ended and the Mustang stuck the curb, a tree, and a pole. Speed was a factor in this accident, according to Davidson.
