KANSAS CITY—Kansas City Police and Clay County Sheriff's deputies worked together to help save a man from a truck that was on fire.
A KC Police Detective was driving on the interstate when he saw a truck engulfed in flames. He pulled over and ran towards the truck, dragging the driver away with the help of a Clay County Sheriff’s Deputy who also came upon the scene.
The man, disoriented and whose pant leg was on fire, would go to the hospital for treatment of burns to his legs. The truck would later explode.
The KCPD Detective has been with the department for 19 years and is a Bomb and Arson detective, working with K-9 Rocky.
