MORRIS COUNTY —A Kansas man has been identified as a drowning victim.
The body of 66-year-old Mark Moore of Topeka was found Saturday evening in Council Grove Lake, according to a statement from the Council Grove Police Department. Just after 9:30a.m. Saturday, police and other first responders responded report of a possible drowning.
Moore's body was found following a rigorous search, according to police.
Council Grove Fire/Rescue, Morris County Emergency Medical Services, Herington Rescue, Morris County Emergency Management, the Morris County Sheriff's Office and the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks also assisted with the search. Authorities released no other details.
