KANSAS CITY —Authorities are investigating the cause a fire at a home in Kansas City.
Just after 2p.m. Wednesday, crews responded to a reported fire in a single-story duplex located in the 3800 block of NW. 93rd street in Kanas City, according to Battalion Chief Michael Hopkins
First responders reported heavy fire and smoke coming from the garage of the structure. Searches of the structure came back all clear. The occupants were able to self-evacuate prior to KCFD arrival.
Crews quickly were able to get the fire under control, and contain the fire to the one unit. No injuries were reported at this incident. Red Cross was ordered for two adults and three children.
