SHAWNEE COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a suspect on weapons charges after a weekend incident.
Just before 10p.m. Saturday police were dispatched to the 3700 block of SW Park South Court in Topeka on the report of gunshots, according to Lt. Shane Hilton.
Upon arrival, a citizen reported that an individual pointed a gun at him and then fired a shot into the air.
Officers found the suspect identified as 45-year-old Charles Lamb, Jr. of Topeka and convinced him to surrender himself. Officers arrested Lamb on the requested charges of Aggravated Assault, Criminal Discharge of a Firearm and Possession of Stolen Firearm. He remains in custody, according to online jail records.
