KANSAS CITY —Law enforcement are investigating another homicide in Kansas City.
Just after 10:30p.m. Monday, patrol officers were dispatched to 75th Street and Bruce R Watkins Drive in Kansas City, Missouri on an ambulance in route, medical nature unknown call, according to KCPD Sergeant Phil DiMartino.
Passing motorists observed an individual lying in the roadway, on Bruce R Watkins Drive and called 911.
First responders observed a man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Officers began performing life saving measures and KCFD EMS was ordered to the scene. Medics transported the victim to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased a short time later.
This is being investigated as a homicide. Investigators are working to determine what led up to the victim being shot. Detectives canvassed the area for witnesses and crime scene personnel processed the scene for physical evidence. Police have not released the name of the victim.
