Police arrest two Kansas men for series of burglaries

TOPEKA—Law enforcement authorities are investigating two suspects for a series of burglaries.

On Dec. 30, police were dispatched to 2720 NE Grantville reference multiple subjects breaking into storage units, according to Lt. Kelvin Johnson.

Officers arrived on scene and saw two subjects getting into a vehicle and driving to the rear of the property

Police set up a perimeter, the business was cleared and the vehicle was found to be stolen. With the assistance of a K9 and the Shawnee County Sheriff’s Office, both subjects were located and taken into custody.

As a result of the investigation, police arrested Donald Buhrle, 50, and Walter Rogers, 58, booked them into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on requested charges of Burglary, Theft, Criminal Damage, Possession of Stolen Property and Felony Interference.
