HARVEY COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 3p.m. Thursday in Harvey County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2012 Toyota 4Runner driven by Yamilena Zambrano Galue, 24, Wichita, was southbound on Interstate 135 one mile south of Lincoln Boulevard. The SUV struck a KDOT 2023 Freightliner 108SD driven by Charlene Harvey, 40, Newton, who was doing maintenance on the Interstate and was partially in the left lane.
EMS transported Zambrano to Wesley Medial Center. The truck driver was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
