SHAWNEE COUNTY —A Kansas man died in an accident Wednesday morning in Shawnee County.
A motorcycle driven by Alfred L. Phillips, 24, of Topeka, was traveling near SW 41 Street and SW Crawford Road, according to Deputy Abigail Christian. Investigators found the accident scene just after 11a.m. Wednesday.. Phillips was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The incident remains under investigation,
A portion of SW K-4 Highway was closed while investigators processed the scene. The sheriff's office did not report whether Phillips was wearing a helmet.
