KBI, deputies arrest felon for alleged drug distribution

 BARTON COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansas man for alleged drug distribution in Barton County.

Just after 3 p.m., Tuesday members of the Barton County Sheriff’s Office and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation executed a joint search warrant  at an apartment complex at 5210 10th Street in Great Bend, according to Sheriff Brian Bellendir. 

Deputies arrested Ronald Cornell, age 63 of Great Bend and booked him on a parole violation warrant as well as multiple requested charges of distribution of methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine and other requested charges.

Since some of the charges are separate incidents, multiple bonds will apply and are in excess of $100,000.
