KANSAS CITY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating vandalism of the pride installment and the pride flag flying outside the United Church of Christ, 205 West 65th Street at Wornall, in Kansas City.

Officials from the church are working with police.

Neighbors, community members and kid immediately came to restore this art installation, according to Justice Horn, Vice Chair of the LGBTQ Commission of Kansas City.

"Hate strikes again - this time at the United Church of Christ, wrote Horn on social media.

"Homophobia is wrong and must be met with wholehearted resistance from the entire community. LGBTQ+ folks will not be bullied, we will stand strong against hate and prejudice."  Horn thanked the community members who came to restore the art to "its former glory."
