KANSAS CITY —Two people died in an accident just before 4a.m. Sunday in Kansas City.

A Dodge Hornet was  southbound on Jackson Avenue in Kansas City at a very high rate of speed, according to KCPD Officer Alayna Gonzalez. The driver of the Dodge failed to stop for the red traffic control signal at Truman Road.

The front passenger of the Dodge and the driver of the Ford were pronounced dead at the scene.
