
SHAWNEE COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a Kansas man on drug allegations.
On Tuesday, members of the Topeka Police Department Narcotics Unit served a search warrant in the 1800 Block of SW Burnett Road related to an ongoing investigation, according to Police LT Ronnie Connell.
While conducting the search warrant, officers located cocaine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a firearm.
As a result, Torrez Parker, 45 years of age, was transported to the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on requested charges of Distribution of opiate/opium/narc within 1000 ft. from a school, Distribution of marijuana within 1000 ft. from a school, Possession of drug paraphernalia with intent of distribution within 1000 ft. from a school and Criminal use of a weapon.
