SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities investigating an alleged February road rage incident learned that a man involved died as a result of his injuries.
Just before 10a.m. February 15, police responded to a local hospital on reports of an individual, identified as Gregorio Castillo, 68, of Topeka, who was being treated for injuries from a road rage incident, according to police department spokesperson Rosie Nichols.
Castillo died from his injuries. After a thorough investigation, the case was presented to the Shawnee County District Attorney’s Office for charging consideration. The DA’s Office will determine if charges are filed.
Police have identified and interviewed all parties involved. The incident is being classified as a homicide.
