
KANSAS CITY, Mo.- Investigators are working to onfirm the cause of a fire that damaged two homes.
Just after 11:30a.m. Thursday, crews responded to the 2100 block of 68th Terrace in Kansas City, Missouri, according to a statement from the Kansas City Fire Department. As crews arrived, they observed thick smoke and flames coming from two one-story homes. The residents were home at the time.

An initial investigation determined the fire started in a car parked in the shared driveway between the two homes. Firefighters were forxed to take hoses into both homes to extinguish the fiew. A search confirmed the residents escaped and were not injured.
Authorities released no additional details.
