SUMNER COUNTY—One person died in a fire Sunday in South Haven.
Just after 9p.m. on Sunday, South Haven Fire was dispatched to a fire at a home that was reported to be fully involved, according to a media release.
The fire was contained to its originating structure but resulted in one fatality. Responding agencies were South Haven Fire Department, Caldwell Volunteer Fire Department, Wellington Fire/EMS - City of Wellington , Sumner County Emergency Management, Sumner County Sheriff's Office,, Caldwell EMS and the Kansas Fire Marshal.
South Haven Fire extends it scondolences to the family of the victim and thanks the agencies that responded. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Authorities did not release the name of the victim.
