Police: Kansas City man chased victim with car and shot him

KANSAS CITY —A Kansas City man is being held without bond for the March 25 fatal shooting of Anthony Villareal in Kansas City, according to Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker.

Gerald R. Robinson II, 23, faces Murder 1st Degree and Armed Criminal Action charges.

According to court records, Kansas City police responded on March 25, to the area of 24th and Quincy. They found Villareal suffering from numerous gunshot wounds nearby.

Surveillance video showed victim walking in the area of 24th and Denver when a maroon vehicle is shown on video chasing him until the suspect leaves the vehicle and chases victim, shooting him several times.

Police identified the vehicle as registered to Robinson. A search of the vehicle revealed clothing in it that matched the clothing that the suspect shooter was wearing.
