SALINE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating an alleged dispute over fireworks, gunshots and have made an arrest.

Just before 4p.m. Sunday, deputies were called to the 400 block of East Water Well Road in rural Saline County for the report of a subject firing a weapon, according to Saline County Sheriff Roger Soldan.

Timothy Rickman, 50, of rural Saline County, allegedly was upset with neighbors who were shooting fireworks, according to Soldan.

After a verbal altercation, Rickman returned to his home, retrieved a 9mm handgun, threatened to kill the neighbors and then allegedly fired the gun.

When deputies arrived, Rickman allegedly was uncooperative, according to Soldan. Deputies arrested Rickman on requested charges of Obstruction/interference with a law enforcement officer, Aggravated assault and Criminal threat.
