SALINA —A Kansas man was injured when he was struck by a car just after 9a.m. Thursday in Salina.

A 2008 Ford Focus driven by Lexxi Espada, 19 Solomon, was westbound and turning south onto Ohio Street, according to Salina Police Captain Paul Forrester.

The car struck Willard Bradshaw, 73, Salina, who was crossing South Ohio Street at the East Iron Avenue intersection. The impact threw Bradshaw onto the windshield of the car.

EMS transported Bradshaw  to Salina Regional Health Center with unspecified injuries, according to Forrester.

The Focus received front end and windshield damage, but was able to be driven from the scene. The case is still under investigation and no citations have been issued.
