
SHAWNEE COUNTY—Law enforcement are investigating two suspects on drug allegations after a traffic stop in Shawnee County.
Just after 9a.m. April 4, a Sheriff's deputy conducted a traffic stop on a black 2006 Audi A6 with an expired license plate that did not belong to that vehicle near South Kansas Avenue and SE 15th Street, according to Shawnee County Deputy Abigail Christian.
During the investigation, the deputy found illegal narcotics.

The driver, David R. Adams, 51, of Topeka, was arrested and booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on requested charges that include possession of an opiate, opium, narcotic or certain stimulant, Use/possess with intent to use drug paraphernalia into human body, Vehicles; operate a vehicle without registration or with an expired tag and Vehicle liability insurance
A passenger, Raven A. Coats, 42, of Topeka, was arrested and booked into the SNDOC on requested charges of Possession of an opiate, opium, narcotic or certain stimulant, Use/possess with intent to use drug paraphernalia into human body,
