KANSAS CITY —Law enforcement investigating a deadly stabbing and have a suspect in custody.
Just before 2a.m. Wednesday, police were dispatched to report of a knife attack near 41st and Gillham in Kansas City, Missouri, according to Officer Alayna Gonzalez.
.When officers arrived they located a victim later identified as 48-year-old Torrey Odum unresponsive with significant injuries consistent with stab wounds. Officers rendered aid to Odum until EMS arrived. EMS took over aid and transported him to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Responding officers detained one subject of interest who remains in custody as detectives work with prosecutors to review all available evidence for their determination of applicable charges
