BUTLER COUNTY—Three people were injured and a teen driver arrested after an accident just before 9:30p.m. Tuesday in Butler County.
According to Butler County Undersheriff Daimon Cundif a 2004 Chevy Silverado driven by a 19-year-old from Towanda was westbound on SW 20th Street at SW Hopkins Switch Road. The pickup left the roadway to the north and rolled down the embankment almost to the KTA bridge. Several individuals were ejected from the vehicle.
EMS transported three passengers, a 28-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman from Towanda and a 38-year-old man to a Wichita area hospital. Two of those passengers were reported to have serious injuries.
Deputies arrested the driver on requestd charges of Driving Under the Influence, Aggravated Battery, Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor, Transporting an Open Container, and Felony Interference. He was booked in to the Butler County Jail
