JOHNSON COUNTY — A suspect admitted his role in a deadly shooting that occurred in Kansas earlier this year.
On Monday, 25, year-old Armando Javier Guerrero, pleased guilty to voluntary manslaughter in connection with the death of 21-year-old Landen Roggenkamp, according to the Johnson County District Attorney's office.
On March 25, police responded to a shooting in the 1400 block of East Mart-Way Circle in Olathe and found Roggenkamp with multiple wounds, according to a statement from police. EMS transported him to a local hospital where he was was pronounced deceased.
The Olathe Police Department took Guerrero into custody, and officers said they believed he and Roggenkamp knew each other.
Guerrero is scheduled for sentencing on September 25.
